We featured friend of Confined[]Space Fellow Dreamer’s beautiful loungewear pieces in our New Years day Editorial.  Fellow dreamers launching in spring 2014 is a luxury loungewear and lingerie label, based in London.
Pieces are designed in the UK and hand-crafted in India, with 100% natural fabrics and 100% natural plant and mineral based dyes, produced in a pioneering zero-waste eco factory in India. Utilising traditional artisan techniques with a production process aiming to create minimal environmental impact and create positive social change for the people who produce the range.   The delicate pieces are then hand sewn and hand embroidered in a workshop run for women by women offering full time employment and a safe and social place to work. The women at the workshop often come from the most marginalised sectors of the local community. They carry with them some extreme stories of hardship and struggle and quite often the scars of an abusive relationship all too common in a society where women are considered a second class citizens and often not even allowed to leave the house alone. At the workshop there is a focus on artisan skill development and self empowerment. It helps local women to gain more independence in society and feel more valued by been paid a fair wage accordingly .
